Lewis University is a National Center of Academic Excellence in Information Systems Security Education

Dear Fellow College of Business Students,

I am very pleased to share with you that the National Security Agency (NSA) and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) have designated Lewis University as a National Center of Academic Excellence in Information Systems Security Education for the academic years 2011-2016. This is a very impressive designation. Other schools with centers of academic excellence include Carnegie Mellon University, John Hopkins University, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and Illinois Institute of Technology.

The NSA and DHS are going to send official letters of notifications to the university President, state Governor, Members of Congress, and appropriate Congressional Committees. This will further help promote our commitment to academic excellence and contributions to the protection of the national information infrastructure.

I would like to thank Dr. Faisal Abdullah for his dedication in leading and successfully achieving this designation for Lewis University. Congratulations and thank you all for your support.
