General Summary: Provide technical assistance to end users of company hardware and software resources.       

On Wednesday, September 26, 2012 11:00 AM-1:00 PM - The Productivity Team is coming back on campus hoping to hire more students for internship positions.  Our Career Services office is putting up a table in the hall for them in Benilde to meet students and provide information.

The U.S. Department of State is the lead foreign affairs agency formulating and implementing the President’s foreign policy and representing the interests of the United States throughout the world. The Department carries out this mission at over 250 embassies and consulates around the world, offices in the metropolitan Washington, D.C. area and other locations in the United States.

Campus Entertainment is managing the Windows UCrew program and we are hiring students at Lewis University. The Windows UCrew program is a unique opportunity for the 2012-13 academic year. As a Campus Entertainment Representative for Windows, students will engage their peers at their campus to raise awareness for the Windows brand and other Microsoft products. They will have the opportunity to gain marketing, communication and organizational skills as well as enhance their leadership skills, all while having fun interacting with other students and earning cash.

The issue of what to do about keeping information safe while online is still a major problem, especially for college students.

“Lady Gaga will never send a picture to you. She loves you, but she will never send a picture to you. ” This is according to Dr. Faisal Abdullah, the chair of the Department of Management Information Systems within the Lewis University of the College of Business. “Every semester I have students who tell me, ‘I have a virus on my computer. What do I do?’” Abdullah said.

I am very pleased to share with you that the National Security Agency (NSA) and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) have designated Lewis University as a National Center of Academic Excellence in Information Systems Security Education for the academic years 2011-2016. This is a very impressive designation. Other schools with centers of academic excellence include Carnegie Mellon University, John Hopkins University, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and Illinois Institute of Technology.

I would like to share with you that the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP) has granted accreditation to all existing programs offered by the College of Business and the Graduate School of Management at Lewis University.
